Years ago I sat on the edge of my bed as little ones napped in their rooms and just cried. My marriage was hard, mothering was hard, trying to build
relationships with friends was hard. Everything in my life just felt hard. I wasn’t sure if I could face anything else being hard in my life, and I cried out to God for answers, for hope, for healing. God not only heard my prayer that afternoon, He began to work in the dark spaces of my heart and build something new. Something fresh. Something holy.
There had been very few holy moments in my life during that season. There were an awful lot of hellish feeling moments though.
Over the course of the next several years God worked out amazing transformations in my heart and in my home.
When Amanda Davison, Wife Coach and founder of the non-profit ministry, A Wife Like Me, asked me if I would prayerfully consider writing as a monthly contributor to her website I smiled.
If God was going to give me an opportunity to share the story of His redemptive work through my marriage and home, then I wasn’t about to turn it away. If anything maybe some of the articles I wrote would help another woman through the challenges of marriage.
I never imagined when I said yes to A Wife Like Me that it would not only result in a great community of wives, but a collaboration of women telling their stories in a book.
So I want to present to you, the launch of our book baby, DEAR WIFE.
Regardless of what season your marriage is, if you are a wife, there is always something we can be doing to strengthen and build up our marriage.
There are plenty of challenges we face in marriage, but we don’t have to face them without hope or without help.
I pray that the stories, encouragement, invitations, and advice within the pages of this book would bless you, encourage you and help you build a deeper relationship with Jesus and your husband.
