These Things I know

When your mind is scrambling from difficult news you must make difficult choices.

Do I choose to trust Him or do I choose to panic? Today, I’m coming back to what I know.

As Paul teaches the church of Ephesus….

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 3: 17-20

In order for Him to dwell in my heart, it requires my faith. My faith must be rooted. Roots take time to grow and strengthen. Roots grow stronger with water. Water is part of storms.

The storms of this life can either wash away my roots or strengthen my roots.

Strong roots lead to strong faith.

Today I choose to build strong roots of faith.

The love of Christ is wide, and long, and deep. His love for me is great. Even when life feels heavy and hard, His love is great. His love for me is so much greater than I can ever understand.

He is good.

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'”

         2 Corinthians 12:9

When I want more answers, more understanding, more solutions, more everything, I must come back to the truth that He is enough. His power is enough. His grace is enough. In fact, it’s more than enough, it’s sufficient for me.  He will fill my need. His power is perfect.

He is sufficient.
